In this post, I talked a little bit about Disney Bounding. I don’t know what the official rules are around it, or where it started, but I learned about it on Pinterest. One day, I was searching for some tips and tricks on Disney planning. Disney Bounding popped up. I went down a rabbit hole and here we are.
When Anniston was younger and princess obsessed, I would let her select a princess and then the rest of us would theme around that. For instance, if she selected Sleeping Beauty, we’d wear red, blue and yellow in different combinations to coordinate.

We’ve also done where we select our outfits based on the park we’re visiting that day. I have a lot of examples of this but I’ve been limited on my selection by the teenager who doesn’t appreciate the old photos.

Anniston and I love this tradition. Nick participates. On our last trip, Anniston picked our themes for the day. She took the parks we were visiting each day into consideration. We ended up with:
- Mickey & Friends
- Toy Story
- Alice in Wonderland
- Winnie the Pooh
I have a couple of rules around selecting outfits. We try to use what we have already first. Then if we have to purchase anything extra, it has to be able to be worn in every day life. Minus the ears. I mean, if I could wear them in every day life, I would, but that’s not socially acceptable.
For Mickey & Friends, Anniston chose Goofy. I chose Minnie, and Nick was Mickey. First step, figuring out what was already in our closets that we could reuse. After that, we determine what outfit we want to create and find what we need. Most of the time, we find stuff on Amazon.
For Goofy, Anniston wore blue DSG shorts she already had, and we ordered an orange top and Goofy ears from Amazon. I wore a black Vuori top, red checkered shorts from Amazon and Minnie ears we already had. Nick wore clothes from his closet.

For Toy Story, we had a green alien, Slinky Dog and Buzz. Anniston wore blue overalls from Amazon, white tank from Old Navy she already had and alien ears from Amazon. I wore a white Vuori tee (same link as above), brown shorts from H&M (these are similar) and Slinky Dog ears purchased from Disney. I had ordered these ears from Amazon, but they didn’t show up on time. Nick shopped his closet.

On Alice in Wonderland day, Anniston was the Queen of Hearts. I was Alice, and Nick was the Cheshire cat. Anniston wore this red shirt from Amazon, these black and white checkered shorts, and these ears. I wore a white tee from Abercrombie, blue Softstreme shorts from Lululemon and a big black bow. No surprise here, Nick wore everything he already owned. I owned everything but the ears, but I digress.

Our last day was Winnie the Pooh. I’ll admit I was skeptical about this one, but it actually turned out really cute. Anniston was Pooh. I was Eeyore and Nick was Tigger. Nick doesn’t need mentioning further (some day I’ll know where he gets his clothes..lol). Anniston wore the same red shorts I wore previously, a yellow tank from Amazon and these ears. I wore a black Abercrombie athletic set, black Lulu zip-up hoodie and these ears.

I have so many ideas for other cute outfits. I just have to figure out how to make those cute inspo-boards first. I attempted one in Canva and it did not go well. Apparently there’s a learning curve. Today I learned how to do Amazon affiliate links. That’s enough for one day.
Until next time: Stay curious, stay caffeinated, and stay a little LindSwept.
